thanks mate i have just built a battery powered 42W CFL works ok
extension cords and generators, generators are nice but can be noisy and expensive. you also may be able to power a few low wattage lights from a car
I agree. I’ve watched a half-dozen videos and they all seem to be fluff. I too want to know: UMBRELLA OR SOFT BOX!?
OK so all this lighting kit ive seen on you tube no one has come up with a good portable battery powered lighting system that will NOT cost a fortune like the LED light panels there must be a pro-sumer alternative for night field use,and why does nobody film in the dark other than Pro production companys? it cant be that hard to do???
Cool video but I still dont understand why I should choose umbrella or lightbox setup…
music is way too loud. way to repetitive. ruins the whole thing.
Yeah that’s right, Viva-Lite lamps are great for photography. It’s color rendering index is near 100, and you get the pictures as good as you’ve shot with natural daylight.
Should I go with QL 1000 or Cool Flo for my first light kit?
lighting is everything
that intro was the gayness.
Cool video! Thank you so much for these invaluable tips! I’d go for light kits, using Full Spectrum light’s like Viva-Lite, Ott-lite (Color temp=5500K) which gives you true colors like Natural Daylight, although it’s a bit expensive. Energy consumed while using these lights are much less. So it could be a greener choice, considering that these lamps lasts much longer than incandescent lamps.
An amateur such as yourself can just go to a hardware store and pick up some incandescent clip lights (or any other lights at the store)–they’ll be cheap but they work and get the job done for home video projects.
gona need a ship soon. so am i
im in exactly the same boat as you
Would a one buld umbrella light be a good step for some one just starting to get together a light kit? I’m 14 and don’t have much money to spend
Thanks for the great content!
I’m looking at upgrading from my Halogen Flood Lights…
And it is great to know that I need to get air-cooled not fan cooled as I’m going to be using it for video recordings.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
most peopel dont realise this key fact!
some people are willing but cant afford it.
It’s kind of funny.
Lol 3:40, “unbrellas”
if people aren`t willing to pay for a professional, would not be surprising if the output is not very professional.
If you look non-professional people treat you as non-professional.
Video is hanging at 1:45 for me.
ohhhh. he keyed out the green to another picture of a green screen
