Thom Thumb asked:
I know this has to do with the ballast or balance of the lamp, or something like that. It’s not the bulb. The lamps flicker and won’t fully come on.

The One and Only One asked: What is the minimum temperature for wood to ignite and will a screw-in compact fluorescent lamp less than 50 watts reach that temperature?
The reason I’m asking is because I mounting 2 15 watts CFL’s to a wooden hood I made myself with 1/4″ plywood and I’m scared it might catch fire.
I’m making something like this but with wood http://homeharvest.com/homeharvest2000pics/HFCompactFixture350.jpg

cookie asked: I was told that if you don’t want to spend a lot of money for lighting equipment when you shoot a video, you can grab some clip lamps at Home Depot to shoot the video.
What kind of clip lamp exactly? More importantly, what kind of light bulb do you use for that purpose? I assume the clip lamp doesn’t come with a light bulb.
