corey w asked: I have a 46 gallon bow front salt water tank. The lights i have on it are a Coral Life light (1/2 actinic) and the standard lousy one that comes with most tanks. I have some mushrooms and zooanthids that are doing fine, but I want better lighting so they will grow / spread faster.

L.C. asked: In my bedroom, there are two wall outlets and I know one of them has an outlet that turns on a lamp. I guess I can just do trial and error to figure out which outlet turns my lamp.
But my question is, how do I do it? Do I leave the wall switch in the on or off position? Do I keep the lamp on ON when I plug it in? Do I have like an order to do it in?
Please give me like directions on how to do this. Thanks.

David asked: I have a question. I have two ten gallon aquariums. One has a hood and light, and the other one doesn’t. The price of a hood now is basically the same as buying a whole new aquarium and I don’t want to have to do that, besides I can’t afford to do that right now. What I want to know is do I have to have the light with goldfish? If not I’m going to put it on the other tank and put tropical fish in the tank. I could put a lamp beside the goldfish tank because I’ve heard that all they really need is room lighting. Is this true?

Roy asked: I originally had power running to a light switch and then another wire to a light fixture. I spliced the going to the light fixture so that I could add a second light fixture. I connected all 3 blacks together, all 3 whites together and all 3 grounds together but when I turned the breaker back on, the breaker popped. How do I make this configuration work?

april asked: I am moving into an older apartment and there are no ceiling lamps in the bedroom and living room. I bought a floor lamp from Walmart and 75W ‘daylight’ energy saving bulb from Home Depot. I find the lighting dull and not good enough to read with-I’m a student. This is really bothering me, how best can I light the rooms using lamps and have adequate light in them? I want them well illuminated and don’t want to ruin my eyes either.
